How can I retrieve the data from the hard drives if a major failure on the NAS 4100 occurs (power supply, motherboard, etc)?
NAS is embedding Linux; it is different from normal OS. And you cannot get its data from PC. If motherboard is broken, you can keep your HDDs and insert to another NAS with the same firmware. But if only one of disks is broken, we can get it. The same to RAID5.
