How can I update my GPS with newer maps?
The updates of the maps for Prestigio GPS devices could be done by purchasing SD card with update or updating online (the service will be available soon).

Is it possible to download maps online?
It will be possible in the near future for Prestigio GPS navigators with iGO 8 platform.

How can I find out what is the version of my map?
You can check the map version of your device by clicking on the “About” icon in Main menu and then clicking on the “Maps” icon. Then you will see the complete list of the preinstalled maps on your device as well as their version and date.

Is there a difference between map update and map upgrade?
Yes. When you buy map update it means that you will have newer version of your current maps. The map upgrade will provide your Prestigio GPS navigator with new maps for a different region which was not initially covered at all or is covered only with major roads.

The maps of my Prestigio GPS navigator are locked. What is the reason?
There are several reasons for the locked maps. If you have tried to install non licensed maps this could have locked the preinstalled maps which makes them inaccessible. Please contact technical support center for more information.

My device could not find a satellite signal. What is the problem?
There are several reasons for non-receiving satellite signal. The weather conditions (storm, clouds or rain) could disturb the signal to your device. The position of the GPS navigation device is the most important factor for the satellite signal. If you don’t want to put the device on the windshield it is recommended to use additional external antenna.

Is it necessary to use external antenna all the time?
No. All Prestigio GPS navigators come with built in GPS antenna. Anyway, external antenna could be used in case of inappropriate weather conditions. If you drive a truck or a car with special windshield it is recommended to use additional external antenna.

My device is loading too long after start. What could be the problem?
You should reset your device. If the problem persists, please contact the authorized technical support center.

I don’t hear any sounds from my device. What could be the problem?
The volume may be lowered or muted. Turn up the volume or tap on “Mute” button again.

I could not turn on my device. What could be the problem?
First check whether your device is Off or On (from the back part of your Prestigio GPS navigator). The other reason could be the uncharged battery. Connect the device to the AC or car charger.

The screen is dimmed or dark. Why is it so?
Probably the brightness of the LCD screen is not properly adjusted. You can adjust it to the required level using device settings of the main menu.

What should I do if my GPS device has a technical problem?
Contact the authorized technical support center mentioned on your warranty card.

How can I switch my GPS to Truck/Pedestrian/Bicycle mode?
From the “Navigation” tap on “Settings” go to “Route parameters” and then choose the required vehicle type.

I don’t know how to find an address and to setup my GPS device for navigation. Can you help me?
The CD inserted in your Prestigio GPS package includes full instructions for navigation. If your model does not provide CD as part of the package please check www.prestigio.com in order to find the required navigation instructions.

What is the difference between “Cockpit” and “Map” mode?
The „Map” mode should be used when the GPS signal cannot be received (indoor). This way you can review the map, create consumer points of interest or customize your route. „Map” mode is made in order to provide you a maximum area on the map and is usually used at 2D view north. The „Cockpit” mode is more appropriate while driving. It shows additional information (speed, street name, next street on route, distance to the final point, type of next road event, etc.).

Could I add my own POIs (points of interests) into the GPS device database?
Yes. From the “Navigation” menu switch to “Cockpit” mode. Tap on “Menu”, and then choose “Quick”. Tap on “Manage POI” in order to add your own points of interests.

How can I switch the searching keyboard of my GPS to a different mode (Cyrillic/Greek/Latin/Numbers)?
Tap on “Keys” button as long as you find the required symbol type.

I inserted a SD card with photos and music and it cannot be detected by the device. What could be the problem?
Make sure that the SD card you are using is with supported capacity. Depending on the model of Prestigio GPS the supported SD card capacity could be up to 2, up to 4 or up to 8 GB. Please check the box description for more information.

I broke the display of my GPS device. Is it covered by the warranty?
If the damage is caused by acts of nature such as fire, wind and flood, it will not be covered by the warranty. The warranty also won’t cover damages caused by dropping, falls and spilled liquids. For more information please see the limited warranty statement included in Prestigio GPS package.

Could I use Prestigio GPS navigator as GPS transmitter?
No. Up to now Prestigio GPS devices work only as GPS receivers.
